Welcome to the official site for The Greater Piney Grove Community Development, Inc. We are one of the nonprofit affiliates of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church. As a Georgia 501c3, we exist to "Build Communities within Communities" through Housing, Education and Economic Development opportunities for persons residing in Metro Atlanta.

Meet our Executive Director, Chianti M. Harris

​

Chianti M. Harris is a force for Community and Partnership Development! She is an experienced and disciplined nonprofit professional with 15+ years of experience with multiple facets of Human Resources Management, Non-Profit Management and Administration, Public Relations, Grant-Writing and Administration, Office Administration, Volunteer Management and Recruitment and Event Planning. She has served at the Executive Director of The Greater Piney Grove Community Development, Inc., since January 2009.

She is a mover and a shaker who loves empowering people, and naturally gifted to work, collaborate and invigorate people from all facets of life!

Chianti is an unapologetic a Christian, Licensed and Ordained Minister in the Baptist Denomination.

A passionate, "hands-on" Community Builder who actively seeks opportunities to partner with community-based organizations in Metro-Atlanta. She is blessed to work alongside city and county officials as an advisor to Faith-Based Affordable Housing.

She is the proud Wife of Lincoln Harris, an Administrator in the Rockdale County School System and a dedicated mother to three amazing leaders: Mirelle (21), Aiden (10), and Austin (5).

​

Her community involvement is not limited to her professional life – she currently serves as the Principal Advisory Council Chair at Princeton Elementary School as well as on the Advisory Board for DeKalb Brilliance Academy, one of DeKalb County’s newest Charter school.
